Insurance
Mr Sharpe is a recognised provider of private health care by all of the major insurance companies. His overall fee structure has not changed significantly over the last 12 years. However, several of the major insurance companies have reduced the renumeration they are willing to pay for certain procedures, thus leaving clients with a potential shortfall.
To give patients a clear and consistent billing structure, so they can be confident from the start what their care will cost, Mr Sharpe now charges the Nuffield Hospital’s “self-pay” rate, for the majority of operations, whether you are insured or not. If you are concerned your insurers may not cover the full cost of your care, then please feel free to contact us for further advice.
The Exeter Foot & Ankle Clinic also welcomes those not covered by insurance, and the Exeter Nuffield has a self-pay package structure which guarantees the fees charged – and will cover the surgeons fee, the anaesthetists fees and all hospital fees.
With the recent restrictions in the NHS many people now act to ensure they will see a consultant who specialises in their problem. Coming to the Exeter Foot & Ankle Clinic will give you a speedy diagnosis and full explanation and a management plan by a specialist orthopaedic surgeon. We feel it only fair to stress that being seen privately gives no priority into the NHS system.
Any X-rays, scans, tests or investigations required are charged in addition to the consultation fee.
