Following a consultation with Mr Sharpe, a decision is made to try conservative treatment (such as injections, podiatry or physiotherapy) or to proceed with surgery to treat the problem.
The majority of foot and ankle surgery can be carried out as a day case or overnight stay in hospital. Some more complex surgery may require a slightly longer stay – this will all be discussed prior to any surgery taking place.
